La rentrée
On 15th September every year, we celebrate "la rentrée", the start of the new school year (I LOVE my children, but 9 weeks was really enough!). Thursday (yesterday) was their first school day. They were very happy and excited to see all their friends again. They took the school bus at 07.30. I was really looking forward to a quiet morning after all these weeks. However, at 09.30 the telephone rang. My daughter had a little accident during their first gym class and her chin was bleeding a lot. I took her to hospital, where we spent the rest of the morning. It wasn't a big wound but it was very deep and she needed six stitches. I hope it is not going to leave a big scar. Poor girl (and poor me, sigh).
